Multi-account RMD calculator
Add every retirement account. The engine picks the right table per account, applies the legal aggregation rules, and gives you per-account, per-group, and total RMDs with statute pins. Computation runs entirely in your browser — no balances are sent to RMDAcross.

Worked example · IRA pool, age 74
Single owner age 74, balances on 12/31 prior year: $412,800 Trad IRA + $186,420 SEP IRA. Uniform Lifetime divisor at 74 is 25.5.
$412,800 ÷ 25.5 = $16,188.24
$186,420 ÷ 25.5 = $7,310.59
IRA-pool total = $23,498.83
// pull from either account or split — single aggregation group
$186,420 ÷ 25.5 = $7,310.59
IRA-pool total = $23,498.83
// pull from either account or split — single aggregation group
What this calculator does not do
- Optimize taxes across years (we show the legal floor; sequencing is a CFP/CPA decision).
- Substitute for a Form 5329 review if you missed a prior-year RMD.
- Apply state-level surtaxes — state withholding rules vary.
- Track basis or pre-1987 403(b) carve-outs that depend on plan recordkeeping.
